Walkabout Puppeteers

Our walkabout puppeteers bring cheeky hand-puppet characters to life, interacting directly with children. Meet Grumphus the Fluff Monster, the Waterfall Wizard, Gina the Girog (a girog is a cross between a giraffe and a frog), Derek the Dragon, and many more. Each puppet is paired with a costumed entertainer (see Bedlam Bunch characters), creating hilarious comedy double acts that spark a lot of laugher at all kids’ parties.

Puppets at parties often demand to be told jokes or set challenges for the kids with games like the Great Banana Keepy-Uppy Challenge, creating a fun-filled, mischievous atmosphere where you’ll hear a lot happy shrieks and shouts of “WAKE UP, WATERFALL WIZARD!”.

Walkabout Balloon Modellers

Our talented balloon modellers transform ordinary balloons into extraordinary creations, filling your party space with colourful dogs, swords, hats, flowers, hats with flowers on them, butterflies, giraffes, magic wands, dinosaurs and a whole world of other creatures and magical designs!

Performing in full character with theatrical flair, children’s party balloon modellers keep the kids engaged by getting them to say the magic words to make the balloons and then applauding profusely when the kids do such a magnificent job!

When booking your time slot, please consider the time it takes for our entertainers to do their balloon-modelling and the number of kids attending (we’ll assist you with this); we want every child at the party to take a balloon-model reward home!

What areas do you cover?: We normally provide walkabout entertainment services across all areas of London and Surrey. We also travel further afield, for luxury parties, theatre festivals and corporate events.
How far in advance should I book?: We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date for your children’s party, especially for weekends and holiday periods. Last-minute bookings are sometimes available, so don’t hesitate to ask!
Can I combine Walkabout Entertainment with other services?: Yes! Our walkabout entertainers pair perfectly with face painters, stage shows, or other activities. Check them out or contact us to create a bespoke entertainment package tailored to your children’s event.
How many entertainers will I need?: The number of entertainers depends on your event size and the number of children. With our Walkabout entertainment, there’s no maximum number of kids per entertainer, but if you have a large event, e.g., with more than 20 children, we recommend 2 or more entertainers to ensure everyone gets involved and has a great time.
Are the balloon models safe for young children?: Yes, our balloon modellers use professional-quality balloons that are safe for children. However, you must provide close adult supervision for very young children to prevent accidental popping or ingestion.
What do your entertainers wear?: As a theatre company, our characters are always well-presented in fabulous costumes! Our Bedlam Bunch characters are all highly identifiable and always photo-ready! They love it when you take photos, especially when the kids are in fancy-dress, too!
What if it rains at an outdoor event?: Our children’s entertainers are adaptable and can perform indoors or in sheltered areas during rain. Please be sure to have a back-up space if your event is outdoors and rain has been forecast. We cannot refund if an event gets rained off, so get your contingency plan in place for a smooth event with happy guests.
